BK (Before Kids) life used to be a relatively uninterrupted stream of getting things done. Now, with babe in tow it's anything but uninterrupted.
We sometimes need 20 minutes to get something done - prep dinner, clean up around the house, fold laundry, or to sit down and take a breath! We hope that in a pinch, you can use our 20 Minute Activity posts to get yourself 20 kid-free minutes to get that one thing done.
This week we're posting 'Race to find the ABC's' it's an activity that will give your little person an excuse to zoom around, while you get your one thing done. Child getting exercise, you getting things done - win, win!
Here's what you'll need to get this activity going -
post-it notes
a sharpie or marker
Your quick work to 20 min freedom -
Write a letter on each post-it note
Walk around your house taping them to the walls in random order. Make sure to spread them out. Mix them up. And hang them at your kid's eye level.
Now there's a couple of ways you can play this:
You can call out the letters and have them bring the found letter to a designated spot OR
You can create a list of the letters they have to find in the listed order.
And a pro tip - you can do this for numbers too, maybe take on an alphabet and numbers to infinity....😆 If only this activity would hold their attention to infinity, ha!
That's it, now go grab your cup of coffee and get activity-ing!
